They've accidentally travelled two centuries into the past.
But will the Regency era turn rivalry into romance?
Addictive, page-turning fantasy romance, Merely a Matter of Time is the sparkling debut novel from June Harrington.
Lucy Bright and Francis de Montmort never intended to (literally) blow up their life's work and get thrown back in time. Yet now the rivals find themselves trapped 200 years in the past with a broken time machine and a potentially evil snuff box.
Together, they must navigate Regency high society - including the ancestors of present-day peers - without triggering further catastrophic events. A handful of overly eligible daughters, a magically enhanced horse race and a demon in a cable-knit cardigan bring additional complications.
Getting home without breaking time itself will require Lucy and Francis's combined intellects and magical abilities. But even as they work towards that shared goal, a question arises. Can they maintain their carefully constructed composure as colleagues, or will their rivalry soften into romance?
Danger, entitled dukes and a dastardly snuff box. Welcome to high society and low shenanigans. Perfect for fans of Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett and Freya Marske's A Marvellous Light.
